Michael's Musings

The give-away roundup

First, thanks to everyone who checked out my guest entry over at Nerdy Book Club. By the way, you may not have noticed this at the bottom of that entry, so I wanted to make double-sure: I’m doing a special Nerdy Book Club giveaway of my novel, Latasha and the Little Red Tornado. There are five copies available, and they’re signed not only by me, but by my incredibly talented illustrator, Evette Gabriel. Just click the link above and you’ll be able to enter using your email address (as long as you’re over 13).

By the way, this is not the only place I’m giving copies of Latasha away. If you’re a huge middle-grade fan, I recommend going over to Deb A. Marshall’s blog for the Marvelous Middle-Grade Readathon. It already began, but people are still signing up every day. And if you enter, you’re eligible for one of a pair of signed copies of Latasha. (Sadly, signed only by me.)

That brings me to the final giveaway I have on the books today. This one is not for Latasha, but for my Tales of Midlandia picture book / iPad app series. As you might be aware, the first 5 titles of the series become available as trade paperbacks on January 31st. To build up to the release date, I’ve been holding brief Goodreads giveaways for each title over the past few weeks. This week, I’m giving away two copies of the very first TaleBe a Buddy, Not a Bully. These copies are signed by me, and members of the Ink Circle illustration team. The giveaway runs until the 8th…click thee over!

Anyhow, those are all the places you can find free copies of my books on offer. That is, unless you’re coming to ALA Midwinter later this month. In that case, at the Midlandia Press booth (#1557), you’ll be able to find me, a pair of illustrators…and 1,000 total copies for your librarian-ly enjoyment, including the very first appearance of my upcoming novel, Postcards From Pismo. Hope to see you there!
